On Saturday 11th June, 2015, The Boom Champions radio 94.1 FM celebrated ten (10) years of radio in Trinidad and Tobago. To commemorate the auspicious occasion Boom Champions held its 10th Anniversary Grand Car Giveaway campaign which commenced in May, 2015 .
Gulf Insurance Limited, as a sponsor saw it only fitting to provide the winner with Motor Insurance Coverage for one (1) year.
On the day eager finalists and loyal listeners converged at the Atrium of Trincity Mall, Arouca. The excitement also caused Patrons to flock to the Atrium to get in on the fun.
Members of the the Boom Family; Hans Des Vignes, Edghill “Mx Prime” Thomas, Jade Campbell, Jahmoun Mendoza, Akeem Bascillo, Adrian “Bass” Hackshaw, Whitney Husbands amongst many others were on hand to partake in the festivities.
The first round of competition was a “Danceathon” which required finalist to dance continuously for ninety-four (94) minutes with their hands affixed to the vehicle started at 1:00 p.m. Finalists got out the blocks quickly to the various energetic genres of music. With varying levels of difficulty and creative dance maneuvers finalists performed to the countdown exhilaratingly with great determination to win the prize. All ten finalists completed the ninety plus minutes danceathon, allowing them access to round two of the competition.
Without further ado the final leg of the competition “Balloon Treasure” soon got on its way with finalists frantically jumping into large balloon pool and popping away every balloon in sight to find the balloon which held the keys to the grand prize.
The sound of victory could soon be heard on the horizon as Mr. Liverpool, who represented his expecting wife Ms. Denisa Liverpool found the treasure and came away the lucky winner of the grand prize.
